NEWS FLASH! Anniversary Issues on The Way...

Wednesday, 24 March 2010 19:46 by Peter

There's talk of some 2010 anniversary editions coming soon from our friends at the Danbury Mint:

45th Anniv. 1965 GTO Conv.

55th Anniv. 1955 Bel Air Conv.

55th Anniv. 1955 Crown Victoria

60th Anniv. 1950 Crestliner

To be honest with you, there are a couple of these I never bought because of the color, so I'll be anxious to find out the color choices Manny & Moe have made for us on these venerable tools.

Also, they usually change some options or features on these anniversary editions--maybe a 55 Bel Air without the appendage? Dare I hope? LOL

When I hear more, you guys will be the first to know.

DM Releases the 2010 edition of the Thunderbird LE series, a 1960 Convertible.

Wednesday, 17 March 2010 13:48 by Peter
Begun in 2005 with the yellow 1955 model, Danbury Mint has offered us a steady flow of Thunderbirds on the 50th anniversary of each model year. So far we've got a 55, 56, 57, 58, 59 and now a 1960 LE, with 61 and 62 expected to follow thereafter. No word yet on further years, but seeing as how they have done a 65 model, it seems very liekly we'll be seeing the 63 (finally), and the 64 through 66 models at a minimum. Check out our new, larger format high-resolution photos, and get one while they're hot. It's only availabe for a limited time, and once they're gone, they're gone for good.

News Scoop: New Releases on the way from DM...

Monday, 15 March 2010 10:27 by Peter

Talking to DM Customer Service earlier today I found out about a couple of surprises they have in store for us.

A 1958 New Yorker coupe in red (editor's note: the color will be Garnet Maroon Poly), a 1968 GTO convertible in gold, and one last surprise: a re-issue of a long-ago discontinued model in a new color, but for now I'm sworn to secrecy.

Like many of you I already have the Coral & White '57 New Yorker and the Verdoro green '69 GTO, but you never know when a striking paint scheme will trigger an unexpected purchase. Shipping dates and more details as they become available...
